Janet Alvarez is a formidable consumer advocate and veteran bilingual financial journalist with over 15 years of experience in business media. She currently serves as Deputy Business Editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer and is the On-Air Host of The Business BriefingShe is also a CNBC contributor and a fill-in Anchor for WHYY/NPR in Philadelphia. Janet’s work focuses on promoting financial literacy, democratizing investing, and bridging the gap between Wall Street and Main Street.
